Brian C. Schlotthauer, 62, of Lancaster, formerly of Columbia, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2017. He was born in Columbia, son of the late Charles H. and Ruth Leader Schlotthauer. Brian was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. He was an Executive Chef having worked for various Lancaster County establishments for 20 years and taught for 17 years at Lancaster Career and Technology Center, Willow Street. Even though he struggled with reading in school, his parents taught him to “never give up”. He is survived by his son: Zachary B. (Sara E.) Schlotthauer, Manheim. One grandson: Tobias Z. Schlotthauer. One brother: Michael (Peg) Schlotthauer, Columbia. Numerous nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Service will be held at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., 31 South Eighth Street, Columbia on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Mark M. Speitel, officiating. Interment in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc. from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.
